The second Dover-Sherborn Athletic Hall of Fame Dinner & Awards Gala will be held in the DSHS Richard Wakely Gymnasium on March 23rd, 2019 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Over dinner, music and school-spirited celebration, the Dover-Sherborn High School Athletic Department will induct 4 individuals, 1 coach 1 contributor, and 1 team into the Athletic Hall of Fame.
This Year’s Inductees:
By honoring classmates and athletes from six different class years—1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, and 2002—the Hall of Fame continues its mission, to recognize the individuals, coaches, contributors, and teams who have distinguished themselves during Dover-Sherborn’s first half-century of athletic competition. This year’s group joins last year’s inaugural class of inductees: athletes Pat Bresnehan, ‘03; Molly Hoagland King, ‘76; Jay Hughes, ‘69; KC Potts, ‘72; Harry Rose, ‘72; and Arnold “Smokey” Whitman, ‘70; coaches William “Whitey” Davis and Tom Marlborough; and the State Champion 1981 boys’ basketball team coached by Chris DuBose.
Join us as today’s community pays homage to those who not only distinguished themselves during their time at DS but also helped to establish a tradition of excellence that Dover-Sherborn continues to take pride in today.
